My Name is Nate Davis.  I have been a member of Troop 1299 for 7 years now and I am working on completing my Eagle Scout Project  For my project, I am collecting bibles for Zoe Ministries, a Christian orphanage in Kenya.  This ministry focuses on taking young men and women who are the primary providers for their home and giving them an education, teaching them English language skills, and providing a Christian foundation with the end goal of becoming self sufficient. 

If you have any extra bibles, feel free to text me at 214-856-9255 and I can come by and pick them up or they can be dropped off at collection boxes located at Suncreek United Methodist Church in the Narthex and Daycare entrances.  If you do not have any bibles but still want to support my project, there is a link listed down below for online donations along with a video that gives more information about Zoe Ministries.  A donation of only $5 purchases a bible that will be given to an orphan in Africa!  Thank you all for supporting me through my scouting journey.  Any support that you can give will go to a great cause! 

As I mentioned earlier, I am working with Suncreek UMC to collect these bibles and need some Scouts to stand by the collection boxes and help promote the project during the Sunday Services on 3/3.

Another aspect of this project is writing personal messages in the bibles after they are collected.  I will be hosting an event at 1313 Kenshire Court, Allen, Texas on Sunday 3/3 from 3 pm-6 pm.  Snacks will be provided.  I have linked SignUp Geniuses to both of these opportunities below and am happy to sign off on service hour sheets for rank advancement and extracurricular activities.
