Nick Blessing Eagle Project

Description

Nick Blessing's Eagle Project

When:  Saturday, February 16, 2019

Start Time: 9:00 am

Location:  Connemara Meadow Nature Preserve

My project is the installation of an erosion control barrier on a creek bank that is washing away.  We will be putting in t-posts, bundling cut samplings, carrying the bundles down to the creek bank, stacking the bundles on the t-posts, and securing the bundles and posts with wire.  We will also clean up garbage on the creek bank.  If you can help, please email me at blessnick50@hotmail.com or text me at 469-396-7977.

If you can help, arrive at the Alma Drive entrance to Connemara at 9:00 a.m.  The entrance is south of McDermott, across from the intersection of Alma Drive and Tatum  Drive.  I will meet you and walk you to the work site.  If you will arrive after 9:00 a.m., please let me know.

The weather forecast is cloudy with a high of 65 and a 20% chance of rain.  Bring water, work gloves, and rain gear.  Please bring pliers-wire cutters if you have them.  Wear long pants, long sleeves, and hiking or muck boots.  Plan on 4 hours of work.

Donuts for breakfast and pizza for lunch.
