Campout: Orientation
ORIENTATION CAMPOUT
March 26 - 28, 2021
Each year, soon after Webelos cross over into Boy Scouts, Troop 1299 hosts an orientation campout, where veteran Scouts and adult leaders teach the new Scouts the basics of camping, including setting up tents, cooking, learning to start a campfire, and many more camping essentials. They have a lot of fun in the process!
It is highly recommended that new Scouts attend this campout.
Our destination will be announced soon. New Scouts and parents, please note the following:
- Your Scout MUST attend campout planning night during the Troop Meeting on Monday, March 22 at 7pm. If we are still meeting virtually, this Zoom link will be announced beforehand.
- If we are meeting in person, your Scout MUST bring $15 cash for gas/grub to turn in to his Patrol during campout planning. An online sign-up/payment form will be available if we are still meeting virtually.
- Your Scout MUST bring a signed permission slip to campout planning night if we meet in person. If we are still virtual, your scout will bring the permission slip at campout departure. (The campout permission slip can be found in the lower left hand corner of the troop homepage under "Quick Links".
- Please arrive at the parking lot of Suncreek at 5:30pm on Friday, March 26 for a 6pm departure, having already eaten dinner.
- Electronics are NOT permitted on this campout.
